Over these past few weeks, you may have seen announcements and flyers about a drive collecting soda tabs at the high school and other schools within the district. This drive, organized by the “Hamburger Helpers” of Mrs. Hartman’s pd. 3 Career Seminar Class, was collecting tabs for the Ronald McDonald House.

After several weeks of planning, advertising, and working hard, the Hamburger Helpers were able to obtain just over 70 pounds of soda tabs for the Ronald McDonald House, and delivered them personally.

One Hamburger Helper, Julia Underkoffler, stated:
“This drive helped me see that non-profit organizations do amazing things and we should really raise awareness to them.”

The Ronald McDonald House is a charity that helps families who have children in the hospital by providing them with a place to stay near the hospital their child is being treated at, and helps with housing and other needs. Thank you to Mrs. Hartman and the Hamburger Helpers for bringing ELCO together to help an amazing cause, and for all of your hard work and service!
