Ryelle Shuey, a senior at ELCO High School and a member of the ELCO Girl's Varsity Soccer Team, shares the positive and uplifting environment she has found within her team.
"As I looked back upon the memorable ELCO girls soccer season, my perspective shifted. There was something much bigger than the titles won--and that was the talented team I was blessed to play with. Little did I know...coming into the soccer season I would soon have 33 other best friends/sisters, who were always there for me; whether that meant being a shoulder to cry on, being my support system, or uplifting me with positivity on the rough days. With that said, I am so thankful for the time spent with those 33 special girls. From my experience I gained unbreakable and life lasting friendships, as well as individual growth. My teammates greatly challenged me to become a better athlete, student, teammate, and person. For them I am forever grateful."
Ryelle is a great example for ELCO Cares, not only because of her positive contributions to her team, school, and community, but also because of her kind, humble, and positive attitude towards all she interacts with. The ELCO Girl's soccer team, with their supportive and uplifting attitudes, exemplifies the atmosphere ELCO Cares encourages, and is a force for positivity in the ELCO school district.
Thank you Ryelle for making ELCO a more positive environment, and to the Girl's Soccer Team for the supportive atmosphere you have created!
