High School Students often have busy lives, and have learn to balance their schedules with all of the activities they participate in. Each night holds valuable time that can be used for homework, hanging out with friends, or doing many other important things. Recently, though, Molly Gray, a sophomore at ELCO High School, spent her valueble time doing something else important—serving at Jackson Elementary with her brother.

“It was family math night at Jackson Elementary. There were different stations set up around the school to complete math activities. I ran an obstacle course in the gym where the kids had to answer math problems before completing the course. A lot of families and students from the community attended this event.”

“It was a blast watching the kids answering the math questions and getting to run through the obstacle course. Their smiles just lit up the room. It was also fun to watch the parents help their kids and do the course themselves.”

Here, Molly shows that the outcome of serving at this event was not only beneficial to the students and families who were able to have a fun experience, it was also an uplifting experience for her. Thank you, Molly, for giving of your time to serve others and for spreading your sunshine in our school. Have a wonderful day everyone!
