This past Christmas season, there were many donation drives hosted by ELCO High School to support our community. One of these came from the Future Farmers of America (FFA) club, which hosted its annual food drive over December 3 - 10.

“ELCO FFA hosted its annual holiday food drive again this year, collecting over 1,500 non-perishable food items to be donated to the Sharing Cupboard.  The Sharing Cupboard is a program at a local church that provides food to families in need, right here in the ELCO community. The people in FFA who coordinated the food drive and dropped the food off were able to see firsthand how thankful the people volunteering at the Sharing Cupboard were for the food. The participants of the food drive were happy to be bringing in food, knowing exactly where it was going - to helping ELCO families in need around the holidays.”

It is so inspiring to see what a difference our High School can make for the community, and to see it come together to serve those in need! Thanks to all who donated food items and to FFA for hosting this event! Many families will be positively affected by all of your selfless kindness. :)
